According to US media sources, Stephen “tWitch” Boss died at the age of 40.
He was best known as the DJ on the talk show ‘The Ellen De Genereres Show”.
On Tuesday, December 13, police went to a complaint regarding a gunshot at a Los Angeles hotel, where they discovered Boss.
According to TMZ, his wife Allison Holker went to the LAPD to report Boss missing without his car.
The police later discovered Boss dead in a motel after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Holker later confirmed his death in a statement to PEOPLE, saying, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I reveal my husband Stephen has left us.”
“Stephen brightened every room he entered. Above all, he treasured family, friends, and community, and leading with love and light was everything to him.
“He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an example to his admirers,” she continued.
“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will be remembered for a long time,” she added.
“I am confident that there will never be a day when we do not remember him. We need privacy during this tough time for myself and our three children.”
“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” Allison concluded.
The investigation surrounding his death is still ongoing by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
