Makhadzi is overjoyed to have won the country’s most prestigious prize

Makhadzi is overjoyed after winning the South African Music Awards 2023.

The singer’s African Queen 2.0 CD took up the award for Best Traditional CD.

She complimented herself and expressed gratitude to her staff and supporters.

“Congratulations to myself for winning the biggest award in the country. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you my fans for making sure every year you put a smile on my face. This year I really went through a lot but only you made it for me to realize that I am an important asset to the country,” she wrote.

“I love you very much and I mean it , I am who I am because of you. Without you I am nothing. I would like to thank my team that worked with me on this album. Papa Penny open mic production artist, Mr Brown, prince benza,master Azart ,Mizo phyll ,master kg ,cassel p and lowshen … mapara music video dropping this Friday 24 November.”
