Ab-Soul hasn’t released new music in a while, but he surprised fans this weekend with the release of “Moonshooters.” He’s spitting that shit on this one, as expected, over an eerie boom-bap beat. According to the Top Dawg Entertainment Instagram account, his album is finished and will be released later this year.

Ab-Soul returns with his latest single “Moonshooter” just a few months after releasing his first song of 2022, “Hollandaise.”

Ab-Soul delivers numerous head-spinning bars on “Moonshooter,” co-written by fellow TDE artist Zacari.

“Hopped off the porch like, ‘One of these days I’ma hop out the Porsche’/Caught up in a daze, had a pack of Newports/Couple dollars to my name, some knowledge in my brain, and my best foot forth/I never been afraid I’m protected by a force/I can’t really explain and I’m guided by the source,” he raps in the second verse.
